ITS for Milano Cortina 2026

Behind every major sporting event lies complex infrastructure, specialized expertise, and strong teamwork. ITS Engineering Company has contributed to the design and construction of several Olympic venues and related infrastructure that have been at the heart of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games.

We worked with a clear objective: to help deliver infrastructure that meets the standards of a global event while creating lasting value for the territories beyond the Games.

Cortina Sliding Centre

One of the most complex projects within the Olympic program. The new bobsleigh, skeleton, and luge track represents an international-level engineering challenge for the Milano Cortina 2026 Games. Design and Construction Supervision.

Stelvio Slope

One of the most iconic downhill ski slopes on the World Cup circuit. The project involved upgrading and enhancing safety conditions in preparation for the Olympic Games. Construction Supervision and Safety Coordination during Construction.

Livigno Snow Park

Construction of Olympic venues for Halfpipe, Parallel Giant Slalom, Snowboard Cross, and Slopestyle, along with supporting infrastructure. A complex project developed on a high-altitude slope dedicated to freestyle and snowboard disciplines. Safety Coordination during Construction.

Ponte Bondio – Mottolino gondola lift

Replacement of the historic gondola lift with a new-generation system approximately 1.9 km long, designed to improve safety, comfort, and transport capacity between Livigno and the Mottolino area. Construction Supervision and Safety Coordination during Construction.

Selvio access system – Bormio

Access system to the starting areas of the Stelvio slope through two integrated installations: the Bormio–Ciuk gondola and the Ciuk–La Rocca chairlift. The project improves the management of flows between athletes, staff, and spectators. Preliminary Design and Safety Coordination during Design.

S.Ambrogio reservoir - Bormio

A strategic infrastructure ensuring water availability for snowmaking on the Stelvio slope. The reservoir, with a capacity of approximately 88,000 m³, integrates advanced water management systems in a complex alpine environment. Structural Design.

Intervalley gondola lift - Livigno

A new cableway connection between the Carosello and Mottolino ski areas, designed to improve mobility and reduce vehicular traffic in the valley. The infrastructure extends over 2 km with a capacity of 1,800 passengers per hour per direction. Preliminary Design and Safety Coordination during Design.

Boite water intake system - Cortina D'Ampezzo

A key infrastructure supplying water to the snowmaking system for the Olympic slopes of the Tofane area. The project includes a water intake from the Boite stream and a pipeline of approximately 3.6 km to the storage basin.Preliminary Design and Safety Coordination during Design.

Montesponda reservoir - Livigno

Built at over 2,600 meters above sea level, the Montesponda reservoir is among the largest in Europe and represents the core of the snowmaking system for the Mottolino ski area. Safety Coordination during Construction.

Ice Rink Oval - Baselga di Piné

Renovation of the ice sports facility, including works on the 30×60 m indoor rink and the 400-meter outdoor oval. Construction Supervision and Safety Coordination during Construction.

Snowmaking system - Stelvio slope

An integrated system of infrastructure and facilities dedicated to snowmaking on the Stelvio slope, one of the most iconic tracks of the World Cup. Preliminary Design and Safety Coordination during Design.

Bob Bar - Cortina D'Ampezzo

Structural restoration of one of the historic buildings linked to the Cortina bobsleigh track. The project follows a conservation approach to preserve its identity while ensuring safety. Structural Preliminary Design.
